  • Understand the lived experience of SEN families in the community
  • Explore how inclusion also supports parental wellbeing, respite and greater participation in community activity
  • Understand parent advocacy and how to involve parents in holistic care of their children

Section 2: The Classroom

  • Understand how to adapt Islamic teaching for neurodivergent learners
  • Learn how to make lessons engaging, sensory-friendly, and accessible
  • See real examples of resources and activities

Section 3: The Vision

  • Understand different leadership and volunteer models
  • Think about how to build, sustain, and retain a team
  • Define the Islamic values and mission at the heart of the team
  • Think about how to engage wider community support

Section 4: The Blueprint

  • Understand what running a learning support department actually looks like day to day
  • See the weekly, monthly, and annual rhythms of an established department
  • Understand the role of care plans, parent meetings, and safeguarding
  • Leave with a personalised action checklist and next steps
